Colorado Mountain News Media, the largest print company in Rocky Mountains, is searching for a Press Operator looking for a one of a kind opportunity in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Our state of the art facility features a seven tower DGM 440 with two towers dedicated to UV printing, and serves multiple communities including the iconic resort towns of Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, and Steamboat Springs.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, collaboration, teamwork and leadership, four years experience in web print operations, and a passion for our mountain community. Colorado Mountain News Media offers highly competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with experience and accomplishments ($25 -$30/hour). This position is also eligible for relocation assistance.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for controlling waste to acceptable percentages on all jobs, producing quality work at highest level of productivity possible
Responsible for carrying out planned maintenance on press and related equipment as per
General housekeeping of pressroom and
environments; turns over a clean, orderly, and safe situation to following shift. Reports all hazards to Maintenance and Plant Managers.
Communicates to following shift regarding work in progress and where they are on production
Responsible for quality control on shift supervised
Accurate counts on press run reports and on bundles to customers and/or drivers
Take necessary caution to ensure accurate
pagination, color spot and count for each run performed on shift
Makes certain that press is in complete readiness for next shift
Communicates any information to following shift supervisor regarding paper, ink and other information not on production schedule that's important to the job
Plans ahead for all runs during shift to assure minimum waste of materials and maximum output from personnel
Advise Manager of supplies that need to be ordered or replaced
Any other duties as requested by the Plant
Manager or Maintenance Manager
High school diploma or equivalent.
Four years of newspaper or production experience required
Forklift experience is a plus.
Heavy lifting, inky and greasy environment, PPE protection as required by job task potential hazard including hearing protection.
Must be able to have some flexibility with shift times according to operations and deadlines.
