Public Notice of Lazy Glen Homeowners Association Intent to Build New Wastewater Treatment Facilities Lazy Glen Homeowners Association is seeking financial assistance from USDA Rural Utilities Service (RUS) for construction of wastewater treatment facilities. The proposed project consists of retiring the existing system and building a new mechanical plant, all on Lazy Glen property. The new system will be entirely within the Lazy Glen subdivision boundaries the approximate location is 101 Lazy Glen, Snowmass, CO 81654. The proposed construction is within the 100-year floodplain for the Roaring Fork River and its footprint will be entirely within the existing wastewater treatment site. If implemented, the proposed project will convert a floodplain which is defined as any land area susceptible to being inundated by flood waters from any source. In accordance with Executive Order 11988, Floodplain Management and USDA Departmental Regulation 9500-3, Land Use Policy, the purpose of this notice is to inform the public of this proposed conversion or effect and request comments concerning the proposal, alternatives sites or actions that would avoid these impacts, and methods that could be used to minimize these impacts.
