TAKE NOTICE that Ascendigo Autism Services has
applied to the Board of County Commissioners, Garfield County, State of Colorado, for a Limited Impact Land Use Change Permit for the Ascendigo Ranch Educational Facility and for Vacation of the Final Plat for the White Cloud Ridge Subdivision, on property located in the County of Garfield, State of Colorado; to-wit:

Legal Description: Whitecloud Ridge Subdivision Lots 1-13, according to the plat thereof recorded October 20, 2000, as Reception No. 571155 and Special Warranty Deed Recorded as Reception No. 942983, and Harmony Heights (AKA Levitt) described in Special Warranty Deed Recorded at Reception No. 942984.

Practical Description: The site is located south of the intersection of County Road 102 and Harmony Lane, approximately 4 miles northwest of El Jebel and approximately 7 miles east of the Town of Carbondale, also known as the Whitecloud l Ridge and Harmony Heights Subdivisions. The site is approximately 126 acres in size and known by Parcel Nos. 2391-283-18-001 through 005, 2391-294-18-006 through 013 and Parcel No. 2391-283-00-225 and 2391-283-00-237.

Project Description; The Applicant is requesting approval for an Education Facility, to include a camp, therapeutic facilities and equestrian facilities. The proposal includes a base camp building, camper lodge, staff lodge, activity barn, caretaker dwelling, guest cabin and accessory structures for maintenance equipment and storage, a hay barn, horse and goat barns and equestrian tack/office and loafing sheds. The facility will serve up to 24 campers at a time on an overall site of approximately 126 acres. The Applicant is also requesting vacation of the Whitecloud Ridge Subdivision Plat associated with the overall plan for the site. The site is zoned Rural (R).

All persons affected by the proposed Limited Impact Land Use Change Permit and Final Plat Vacation are invited to appear and state their views, protest or support. If you cannot appear personally at such hearing, then you are urged to state your views by letter or email (submit to Email Me), as the Board of County Commissioners will give will give consideration to the comments of surrounding property owners, and others affected, in deciding whether to approve, approve with conditions or deny the requests. The application may be reviewed at the office of the Community Development Department located at 108 8th Street, Suite 401, Garfield County Administration Building, Glenwood Springs, Colorado between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
