Sealed bids will be received at the City of Glenwood Springs, to Email Me , in the Procurement Department, until 2:00 p.m., (local time) February 19, 2021,at which time bids will be publicly acknowledged for the furnishing of Cardiff Water Storage Tank Project. Include the Bid title and #BD2021-003 in the subject line of the email.

A mandatory pre bid/proposal conference call will be held on January 24th, at 10:00 a.m., please contact Matthew Langhorst at Email Me, for call-in number/Team meeting link for mandatory per-bid meeting. Vendors who fail to attend the pre-bid conference shall be considered non responsive and ineligible for award. A representative of the Vendor is required to attend this conference call in order to become familiar with the Plans, Project Schedule and Project Specifics. Onsite walk throughs will be available the week of January 26th through the 29th upon request. The City will only be walking one contract at a time through the project site.
FOR AWARD PRE-QUALIFICATION
In order to receive an award for the Cardiff Water Storage Tank Project the Contractor must have successfully met the requirements of pre-qualification as described herein. Bids received from bidders who are not pre-qualified will not be opened. A Contractor must possess adequate tenacity, perseverance, experience, integrity, reliability, capacity, facilities, equipment, and credit. The determination of whether a contractor possesses these criteria is at the sole discretion of the City Manager. Additional criteria for pre-qualification are as follows and must be delivered to the City's Procurement Department, First Floor, 101 West 8th St., Glenwood Springs, 81601, or Email Me no later than 2:00 p.m. (local time), January 24, 2020:
1. Demonstrated record of successful and timely completion of work awarded during the last five years and a minimum of three projects specific to the type and size of work included in the Scope of Work.
2. Experience shall include above grade steel water tank construction, building construction, pipe installation, soil nail construction and site work projects specific to the type of work included in the Scope of Work.
3. Demonstrated ability to bond projects of this extent and nature.
4. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
This solicitation for bids may be canceled by the City of Glenwood Springs, and any bid or proposal may be rejected in whole or in part for good cause when in the best interests of the City of Glenwood Springs. The City of Glenwood Springs reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the best bid. If a contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, whose bid is deemed by the City of Glenwood Springs to be in the best interests of the City.
