The City of Glenwood Springs Fire Department is currently accepting applications for Reserve Firefighters all levels. We are seeking individuals with a passion for protecting our community through the provision of excellent fire suppression, rescue and EMS services.
Reserves and Recruits will work under the supervision of all fire department Officers, and learn to perform functional and administrative duties in providing EMS, rescue, firefighting, and hazardous materials emergency responses. Non-emergency functions, such as public relations and education, fire inspections, vehicle/equipment maintenance, and station cleaning/maintenance will be required. You will be required to sign up for part time shift work and will be expected to work at least 24 hours per month and no more than 24 hours per week.
Must possess a High School diploma or GED, and have a valid Colorado driver's license. Fire Service experience or EMS certification is a plus, but not required. Starting $10.20 and up per hour depending on experience and qualifications. We are willing to train individuals who have an interest and a passion to learn firefighting/EMS as a possible career path. Applications must be postmarked, faxed, scanned, or otherwise received by 5 p.m. on the closing date. Applications will not be accepted at the Fire Station.
